New leadership is around the corner for a handful of Bay District Schools.
According to information from the district, seven local schools will have new principals for the 2024-2025 school year, which is slated to begin for students on Aug. 12. Here's what we know.
Which schools will have new principals, and who are they?
- Margaret K Lewis School will welcome Principal Crystal Hudson.
- Jinks Middle School will welcome Principal Chris Coan.
- Merritt Brown Middle School will welcome Principal Amber Hart.
- Mowat Middle School will welcome Principal Ronald Hensley.
- Cedar Grove Elementary School will welcome Principal Crystal Boyette.
- Lucille Moore Elementary School will welcome Principal Yesenia Llorens.
- Parker Elementary School will welcome Principal Josephine Davis.
What were the new principals' prior positions?
- Hudson previously was assistant principal at Margaret K Lewis School.
- Coan previously was principal of Parker Elementary School.
- Hart previously was coordinator of Bay Base.
- Hensley previously was assistant principal of Rutherford High School.
- Boyette previously was principal of Rutherford Middle School.
- Llorens previously was assistant administrator at Breakfast Point Academy.
- Davis previously was assistant principal at Waller Elementary School.
